Today, I made another trip around the sun. You guessed it… it's my birthday! There was a time when I would think about all the gifts that everyone would give in celebration of the day, but now, I reflect on if I have been a gift to others. I think about legacy. I think about giving. I think about if I've made life better.

How many people met Christ because of me? How many lives have been positively changed or influenced by me? Is my life in order? Do I have a will, life insurance, an inheritance for loved ones I leave behind? It’s not what people say about me, but what they can’t deny about me. Now, I realize that only what I’ve done for Christ will last. So, today, I hope I have been a gift to each one of you and that your life is just a little bit better for knowing Van Burch!
