Welcome to Live Life with Van Burch. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, and with a passion for teaching and biblical leadership, my aspiration is to assist others in developing an authentic relationship with God for biblical results that change our world.

Dea. Van Burch, Sr., born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Bobbie and Shirley Burch (C.U.P.), now resides in Kalamazoo, Michigan. A graduate of John J. Pershing High School in Detroit, he went on to earn dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Manufacturing Engineering and Black American Studies, followed by a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Western Michigan University. He is married to Dr. Janee Steele and is the proud father of five children—Brandon, Kristina, Marcus, De Vanne II, and De’ Jah—grandfather, and a loving godparent to over 15 godchildren.

Dea. Burch has faithfully served in ministry since childhood, beginning at Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit and continuing for more than 25 years at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Kalamazoo. There, he currently serves as Chairman of the Deacons Ministry, Armor Bearer to Pastor Addis Moore (Dean of NBC USA CCE), Men’s Life Group Facilitator, Security Ministry liaison, and a Media Ministry contributor. He has also led numerous workshops on transformational church leadership, supporting pastors, and discovering your purpose in Christ. A firm believer in the divine inspiration of scripture and salvation through Jesus Christ, Dea. Burch uses his platform, Live Life with Van Burch, to offer encouragement and inspiration to others.

Professionally, he is the Operations Manager for a major natural food and beverage company. Outside of ministry and work, he is deeply involved in community service as the Alumni Chapter President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Psi Lambda Chapter. In his free time, he enjoys bowling, vlogging, editing videos, and traveling with his family.
