There was a game show called Deal or No Deal where you were able to keep a suitcase with an undisclosed amount of money or trade it in for another. Thing is, you don’t know how much you’re giving up for what’s in the other suitcase. It could be less than you have or it could be more. But when the game show’s host prompts you with the deciding question: Deal or no deal? You have to decide whether to keep what you have or give it up.

When Peter and Simon were confronted by Jesus it was no question if it was a deal or no deal. They immediately left their nets to follow Christ. Is your net stopping you from following Christ? Are you holding on to something or someone that doesn’t allow you to fully follow Jesus? What keeps you from prayer and bible study? Who stops you from worship and serving? When you decide to follow Christ, you don’t have to wonder if you’re losing out on something better. With Christ, there’s only gain. Anything else is nothing but net.

Heavenly Father, I choose to follow You immediately! Nothing will stop me. No one will hinder me. In You is everything I need in life and life more abundant. Thank You for leading me in the path of righteousness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
