When Jesus began doing God’s work, people didn’t know what to think of this person teaching, healing people, and creating miracles. There was a time Christ’s name wasn’t known to all and because of His great works people identified Him as John the Baptist, Elijah and other prophets because their works, words and life were comparable.

Does your works, words and life place you among good company? Who do people compare you to at home, at work or in your community? As followers of Christ, it is our privilege to show others the love of Jesus in word and in action. If we were ever fact checked, Google should be able to find what we said or did in scripture! So, the next time you have the opportunity to interact with anyone for any reason, ask yourself, “Would they compare me to Jesus, John the Baptist, or Elijah?”
Imitate Christ
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your perfect example of how to love others and treat people. I choose to live for You and represent You in all my ways. I am the light of the world and salt of the earth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
