A young man asked me if God hears his prayers. He wasn’t sure if he was praying the right way or if he was using the right words. I asked him if he knew any biblical promises from God in scriptures? He said of course. I then said pray what His Word says and thank Him for what He already promised you through your obedience.

The way we establish confidence that God hears our prayers is because we have faith His Word will not return void. Therefore, when we pray God’s will (or Word), we get God’s attention. And if He promised us something we only need to obey for it. Want prosperity and success? Do Joshua 1:8. Need direction? Do Proverbs 3:5,6. There is nothing we need that God hasn’t already promised us and God hears us when we thank Him for what He’s already done.

Pray His Promises

Heavenly Father, I have confidence that You hear my prayers and that anything I ask You according to Your Word I will receive it. Thank You for every blessing and for every promise. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
