My parents allowed me to believe in Santa Clause. I was told that I’d better watch out and that I’d better not pout and if I behaved, my name would be added to the “nice” list and Santa would gift me everything on my wish list. All I had to do was be good for goodness’ sake. When I grew up, my parents revealed their secret. I learned the true meaning of Christmas and that it was better to give than receive.

God is waiting for us to “grow up” in Him so He can reveal more spiritual truths to us. But until then, He’s told us some things to do in the meantime – like loving our neighborhood, forgiveness, and to pray and study. God doesn’t tell us everything at once. If He did, we’d probably lose our minds. As we continue to grow in Christ, let’s do what we do know and trust that God will reveal more and more to us at the perfect time.
All in God’s time
Heavenly Father, I commit to doing everything You’ve taught me. I have faith that You will increase my knowledge and reveal Your plan for me at the perfect time if I remain obedient to Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
