Whatever you put out into the world will return to you. If you think the world is against you, your viewpoint of everyday situations you face will reflect that. If you think no one cares about you, your mind will trick you into ignoring the ten people that asked, “How are you today?” and focus solely on the one person that didn’t speak to you. What you put into your spirit can manifest itself into your life, so why not saturate your spirit with positive thoughts and the goodness of God’s grace and mercy?

Now, just because you think happy thoughts, doesn’t mean your life will always be a bowl of cherries, but it can spiritually prepare you should trouble coming knocking at your door. What I am saying is why waste your life living in fear? Why focus on the negative when God has blessed you in so many different positive ways? Today, be mindful of what’s on your mind. If you need a cheat sheet of what you should be thinking about, try this one: whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
