“Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.”
Today I want to encourage you to remain confident in the Lord. Things may not look the way you want them to and everything may not be going as well as you planned, but you still have a God that promised to supply all of your needs. Whatever your need is, remain confident and remember that your God is faithful.

Even when you feel the enemy or your situation has got you surrounded and you can’t see any way out, know that Jesus can make a way when you think there is no way. You do not have to be afraid, worried, or depressed. Believe in God. And if God allows you to be attacked, it’s not for you to be consumed, but to rise above and grow from the experience. Remain confident and always look for what Christ is doing in your situation.

“A third time the LORD called, ‘Samuel!’ And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I am; you called me.’ Then Eli realized that the LORD was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, ‘Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.’ So Samuel went and lay down in his place.”
God wants our attention. He always has something to tell us, we’re just too busy to stop and listen to Him. We always have this errand to run or that meeting to attend or this tweet to retweet or that Netflix series to watch and God is like, “Hey!” but we don’t hear Him. So, what He will do is call our name through that movie we’re wrapped up in or call our name in the middle of that meeting we’re in and then… He wants us to lay down what’s taking our attention from His voice and listen to Him.

You have so many important things to distract you today, but go lay them down and say, “Here I am, Lord. Speak. Your servant is listening.” You have protest to attend, you have projects to complete, you have loved ones to call, you have dinner to cook, you have a lot of things going that you need to lay down and say, “Speak, Lord.” Jesus has something to tell you today that will change your life and you may miss it if you let life get in the way.

“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.”
God has prepared a blessing for you. He is going to use someone to “hand deliver” this awesome gift He has promised you today. You may or may not know this person and you may not be expecting what God has prepared to bless you with, but make no mistake, it’s a blessing from God. And when you receive this blessing, it’s not the end of your story. It’s only the beginning.

God promised to bless you and make your name great, but today’s scripture goes on to reveal that God also wants you to be a blessing. Just like Jesus will use someone to hand deliver His blessing to you, He needs you to hand deliver a blessing to someone too. You don’t have to worry about it taking away from your blessing or your time. God’s already given you exactly what you need to bless someone else. So, when you receive your blessing today, remember it’s not just for you.

Read moreYou Have Grace
“God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.”
There is nothing you can do that can catch God by surprise. He knows you’re imperfect. He knows that you’re going to make some mistakes. But Jesus can take the mistakes you make in life and catapult you to the place He has destined for you. Your divorce, your failures, your flaws, they cannot keep you from achieving the life has for you. God is bigger than your sin.

When you sin, make mistakes, fall short, Jesus doesn’t push you away. No. That’s when God’s wonderful grace becomes more abundant. He wants you to get back on track. He wants you to make the world’s biggest comeback. And to do that, He gives you His grace. His grace covers your sin. You don’t have to relive your sin and you don’t have to let it hold you back. You have God’s wonderful grace, and it wipes your sin slate clean.

“ “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.””
Life isn’t always what we planned or expected it to be. It can be trying, and the world can be a scary place. When you experience these times, remember you’re not going through them alone. God is always with you and He has promised to never forsake you.

When God tells you to “be strong and courageous,” it’s not a suggestion. He’s telling you to “be” what He’s already created you to be - strong and courageous. Whenever life takes its best swing at you, you don’t have to be afraid or terrified. God, the creator of all things, will never leave you or forsake you. You can stand strong and courageous in the midst of adversity and uncertainty knowing He is in full control. If God allows you to go through it He has something great awaiting for you on the other side of it.
